Dog
Dogs are selectively-bred ancestors to modern-day wolves who befriended ancient mankind eons ago for mutual benefit, earning them the title "man's best friend." This subspecies that started with just a handful of breeds has become hundreds of breeds that display a broad range of sizes, colors, and functions.
Dogs are highly trainable due to how they indescriminantly accept their masters as members of the pack, who they very much like to please. They will spend hours playing with their masters, showing their enjoyment of the bonding time by wagging their tails. Dogs can be found assisting mankind in all walks of life from manual labor to personal service. Their strong senses of smell and hearing allow them to assist at locating what would otherwise be difficult or impossible for mankind.
Dogs are omnivorous, consuming foods that contain a good amount of protein but rounded out with plant fibers. Because of their ubiquitous nature as pets, food and supplies are sold in almost every store imaginable.
